Kick off your holiday in the heart of Catania.

The Casa Sicula flats are situated in the historic city centre of Catania in Via Raddusa,19. An ideal position for you to get to the Piazza del Duomo or the Cattedrale di Sant’Agata by foot.

The house, which was recently renovated, has many facilities, including: air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a flat screen TV, private bathrooms with a bathtub or a shower, paid parking. You’ll also have a kitchen and a dining room, both fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals.

The Fontanarossa airport is less than 15 minutes away. The new underground also has a stop very close by. This allows you to move around quickly and to get to the seafront, which, on one Sunday a month, is only open to pedestrians and cyclists.

Admire the sea and the beautiful historic villages of San Giovanni Li Cuti and Ognina! From the balconies, you’ll see the beautiful Piazza Università, where the University of Catania, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Italy, is located. You can start your holiday from here strolling around the wonderful Via Etnea.

Walk amongst historic buildings, emblems of Sicilian baroque, and keep walking towards the nearby Piazza Duomo, in the centre of which you’ll find the Fontana dell’Elefante "U Liotru", the symbol of the city.
The square is surrounded by historic buildings of rare beauty, including the city’s municipal headquarters, and the highest expression of its charm can be seen in the Duomo.

As you walk towards the sea, you’ll come across the historic fish market "A Piscaria". You can either get here from a corner of the square, where the Fontana dell’Amenano, "L’acqua o Linzolu" is, or from the opposite side of the square, by walking through the eighteenth-century Porta Uzeda.

By foot, you’ll be able to get to the Greek theatre, which was recently made accessible again to host theatrical and musical performances, both made even more special thanks to the beauty of the location, or to the opera house named after Vincenzo Bellini, one of the city’s nobles.

Keep going for a few hundred metres and you’ll get to Via dei Crociferi, a Unesco World Heritage Site. The area is full of bars, pastry shops, restaurants, and night clubs that make Catania’s "movida" a worldwide attraction.
The sea in summer, and snow in winter are also features that make Catania such a unique city.

During certain times of the year you can ski on Mount Etna in the morning, and go for a swim in the sea in Acitrezza, the town of Giovanni Verga’s Malavoglia, later on in the day; or you can go to Taormina.
To sum up, Casa Sicula and Catania are definitely amongst the best places in the world for you to plan your holiday.
